“We’re honored to receive this special distinction for the high design quality of our products,” said Victor Vaisleib, CEO of Wi-Charge. “This awards validates our approach combining wireless power modules with consumer appliances. The beautiful overhead light fixture for full-room coverage of both light and power helps our partners reimagine the functionality of everyday products. ”
Wi-Charge technology can be packaged in different ways depending on the application required. The company has created embedded wireless power modules as well as sample implementations of integrated products that leverage Wi-Charge’s underlying technology. Wi-Charge works with OEMs to embed its wireless power transmitters and receivers. This allows our OEM partners to create new and exciting products, to enhance existing products and fit our modules into the form factor of their choice.
The Red Dot Award: Product Design, has roots dating back as far as 1955 and determines the best products created each year. Designers and manufacturers from 59 countries submitted more than 6,300 objects to the competition. Winners were selected by a jury of roughly 40 members, who judged each product individually against a strict criteria which includes: level of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics and durability.
“I want to congratulate the award winners sincerely on their wonderful success in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018,” said Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of the Red Dot Award. “Success in the competition is proof of the good design quality of the products and once again shows that companies are on the right path. When I speak about good design, I am referring to more than just an attractive product. All of the products are characterized by outstanding functionality. This demonstrates that the designers have understood their clients and their needs.”
